TGPWU condemns discrimination and harassment of delivery workers over costume choice

The Telangana Gig and Platform Workers’ Union (TGPWU) expresses deep concern over the recent incident in Indore, where a Zomato delivery worker was harassed and forced to remove his Santa Claus costume by an individual who questioned its cultural and religious significance.

TGPWU firmly opposes deactivation of workers’ IDs

Members of the Telangana Gig and Platform Workers’ Union (TGPWU), volunteers and saathis resolved to fight against deactivation of workers’ IDs and other unfair practices of platform companies. This resolution was passed at a memorial meeting held in memory of Chandrika, an Urban Company worker who passed away on November 15, 2024, allegedly due to stress-induced health complications.
